The Fallow Deer

Teddington's brunch fixture since 2013, roasting its own coffee and named for the deer up the road.

The Fallow Deer, café in Teddington

A short walk from the station, the Fallow Deer has been cooking brunch on the High Street since 2013, and it shows in the easy confidence of the menu. The Full Herd is the big plate: smoked streaky bacon, Cumberland sausages, garlic mushrooms, homemade beans and eggs your way. Lighter appetites go for the Eggs Royale with Scottish smoked salmon, or the yuzu crispy chicken bap.

The coffee is their own. Forest Dawn is a house blend roasted in small batches, 70% Brazil and 30% Guatemala, and you can buy the beans at the counter. It’s an independent, family-friendly room, open every day from breakfast until mid-afternoon. Keep an eye on their Instagram for the occasional supper club.
