Lebanese café & restaurant · Church Road
Sidra
Generous mezze and Middle Eastern cooking, just off the High Street, at prices that feel like a favour.
Sidra is the Teddington branch of a small local success story. Founder Ahmad Hammami came to the UK from Syria and opened his first café within two months of arriving. There are now two, here on Church Road and on York Street in Twickenham.
The cooking is Lebanese and wider Middle Eastern, served in a bright, casual café-restaurant. The mezze platters are the reason to come: lots of small dishes, properly made, and plenty of them. It’s also good value, which helps explain why it’s a lunchtime fixture with locals and people working nearby.
