Roan Records opened on Church Road in December 2020, when Rob, a lifelong record collector, finally opened the shop he’d always wanted to run. It’s an independent record shop and coffee bar in one, with a little terrace out front.
Inside there are thousands of records and CDs, new and second-hand, across jazz, soul, rock, metal, reggae and ska, and world music, plus pre-releases for the eager. Anything not in stock can be sourced. Locals rate the coffee as much as the crates, which makes it a very easy place to lose an hour.
