The Good Wine Shop opened on Teddington High Street in 2020, its fourth branch after Kew, Chiswick and Richmond Hill. A fifth has since opened in St Margarets. The group has been trading for more than 20 years and has picked up a shelf of awards along the way, including Decanter’s Best Specialist Retailer for Organic and Biodynamic Wines.
The focus is small, family-run producers, many of them farming organically and making wine without additives. There’s plenty beyond the classics too: fine wines, mixed cases, and low and no-alcohol options for the designated driver. It’s the kind of shop where it pays to talk to whoever’s behind the counter.
