A martial arts charity that's been teaching judo and karate locally for more than 50 years, for all ages and abilities.
Busen is a charitable trust that has been training martial artists in Twickenham, Teddington and Richmond for more than five decades. Its home is on Stanley Road, just over the Twickenham border, with classes for children, teenagers and adults of every ability.
Judo and karate are the core, alongside ju-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, gymnastics, tai chi and boxfit, plus soft play for the youngest. The results speak for themselves: its young athletes were London Youth Games champions in 2024 (boys) and 2025 (girls). As a charity, it keeps the focus on getting local people training.
